Ich glaube hier geht ein Aufschrei einmal rund um die Welt und die Empörung ist groß!
Die Familie sollte Stellung beziehen wie es zu einer derartigen Entgleisung kommen konnte und damit gleichzeitig jegliche Gerüchte stoppen. Ansonsten endet dieser "Tribut" in einem Fiasko der sich gewaschen hat. Offensichtlich sind sich alle Fanforen einig das hier mächtig was schief läuft!!!
Nutzen wir doch "unsere Stimmen", sie behaupten doch das die Fans wichtig sind!!!

Los Angeles (CNN) -- Michael Jackson fan clubs appeared in open revolt against a tribute show for the late pop star after promoters added the rock band KISS to the concert lineup on Monday.

Fan objected because of negative comments KISS leader Gene Simmons made about Jackson in interviews the days and weeks after his death two years ago. Simmons spoke about his suspicions that Jackson, who was acquitted of child molestation in 2005, was a pedophile.

"In the days following Michael Jackson's death, Gene Simmons has made slanderous, derogatory comments about Michael and his children," the fan site United For Michael Jackson's Legacy said. "It is quite ironic that Simmons has now agreed to himself pay tribute to the man he called a child predator."

Promoters, who had hoped the addition of the legendary group would bolster their lineup, said they were unaware of Simmons' statements when they booked KISS for the show.

The fan website MJ4Justice was one of several calling for a boycott of "Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert" scheduled for October 8 in Cardiff, Wales.

"Either they don't have access to computers, telephones or do not know how to use GOOGLE," MJ4Justice said in an online statement. "But, There is NO excuse for the Tribute organizers NOT to know Gene Simmons should not be part of any Michael Jackson Tribute Event."

Global Live Events executives appeared with Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson on CNN Monday to announce the signing of KISS.

"I know he would be very excited about KISS," Michael Jackson's mother said.

But within minutes, their tribute's Facebook page was filled with negative fan reactions.

"This is a complete disgrace," wrote one fan. "You can kiss your audience goodbye folks. I doubt whether any self-respecting fan will pay a penny to see that man after the comments he made about Michael. I'm shocked this act was even considered."

The executors of the Michael Jackson estate also spoke out, sending a letter to the promoters late Monday saying they were "especially disappointed" by the announcement that KISS was in the show. The estate asked promoters to provide an explanation.

"As I am sure you are aware, Mr. Simmons has made numerous disparaging public comments about Michael Jackson after his passing," estate lawyer Howard Weitzman wrote in the letter obtained by CNN. He called media coverage of he controversy "extraordinarily embarrassing."

The estate, which has not sanctioned the event, also questioned the promoters' promise to share profits with charities and a provision in the terms of the ticket sale that as long as 50% of the billed acts show up there would be no refunds,.

"It is a concern to us that loyal Michael Jackson fans will pay for tickets and not receive full benefir for their purchase, nor will they be able to get a full refund if certain artists they paid to see cancel their participation," the letter said.

The KISS controversy overshadowed other announcements that promoters expected would gain fan support for their show, including word that many of the musicians who played in Jackson's touring band for the past two decades would reunite as the show's house band.

Kevin Dorsey, who served as musical director for several Michael Jackson tours, will also direct the show.

Other acts signed for the show include Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Cee Lo Green and JLS. Alternative rock band Alien Ant Farm and British R&B singer Craig David are also on the bill.

Members of the Jackson family set to take the stage include "the next generation of Jacksons" and 3T, which consists of Tito Jackson's three sons, the promoters said.

It is also expected one or more of the three Jackson sisters -- Janet, La Toya and Rebe -- will perform.

It appeared unlikely the tribute stage would be the scene for a reunion for the surviving members of the Jackson 5. While Jackie, Tito and Marlon support it, brothers Jermaine and Randy have publicly objected to the show being held at the same time as the trial for Michael Jackson's doctor.

"While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death," Jermaine and Randy Jackson said in a joint statement last month.

Dr. Conrad Murray's involuntary manslaughter trial begins in September and is expected to continue through October.

"The trial is very important and I can understand how Randy and Jermaine feel, but it's been two years," Katherine Jackson told CNN Monday. "I thought it was a good idea; I'd like to keep Michael's legacy alive."

Katherine Jackson plans to attend the trial, although she will miss some days to fly to Wales to attend the show with Michael Jackson's children, she said.

"It will be on a Saturday when the courtroom is dark," Paul Ring, a Global Live Events executive said.

Fans can get tickets through a two-step process. They must first "register their interest for tickets" online at www.michaelforevertribute.com. A lottery will decide which fans will be emailed invitation to complete the ticket purchase.

The concert in the Wales Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, which seats 75,000 people, would be at least four hours long, Global Live Events CEO Chris Hunt said.

Nach dem Brief vom Estate (das diese Sache sicherlich nicht auf sich beruhen lassen wird) werden sich die Verantwortlichen wohl äußern müssen und da bin ich mal gespannt drauf. Dass Katherine mit der genauen Organisation nichts zu tun hat, nehme ich ihr ab. Ich glaub auch nicht, dass sie generell viel Ahnung von den Dingen hat. Ist ja auch über 80 und war nie sonderlich involviert. Ich denke, ihre Geschäftspartner klügeln das aus und denen geht es nicht um emotionalen Kram. Die emotionale Schiene darf Katherine erledigen: In die Kameras sagen, dass sie das alles nur für Michael tut und dass der sich bestimmt ganz doll freuen würde. Die Organisation übernehmen andere und ganz ehrlich: Von "Tribut" (man muss sich mal überlegen, was dieses Wort bedeutet!) kann nicht die Rede sein. Da werden mal eben wild irgendwelche Leute angeschrieben, ob sie nicht bock haben, aufzutreten - kriegen ja auch Geld dafür, soviel ist sicher, und soviel auch zum Thema "Charity": Super teure Ticketpreise, und kein Cent davon geht an "Charity"!! Mir fehlen die Worte, ich schreibe auch nicht das ich es geahnt habe...
Es ist an sich eine schöne Sache gewesen, Michael ein Konzert zu geben, doch scheitert es an der Umsetzung.
Ein Trauerspiel das die eigene Familie NICHT im Stande ist dem Sohn/Bruder ein besonderes Konzert darzubieten.
Es zeigt einmal mehr das die Familie von einem Gedanken bis zur Umsetzung nicht im Stande sind etwas derartiges auf die Beine zustellen.....
Geld ist doch wohl so im Vordergrung, das sogar geäußerte Meinung auf einmal nicht zählen und man sich selber untreu wird. Prioritäten werden umgesetzt und mal wieder passend gemacht....Meine Güte was ein Zirkus und das wird auch dann noch in Verbindung mit Michael gebracht.....
Hat Er nicht wenigstens etwas ANDERES verdient...ABSAGEN das wäre, das richtige JETZT, bevor noch mehr ins uferlose gerammt wird.

Michael Jackson Estate Something Stinks Over the MJ Tribute Concert
The honchos in charge of the Michael Jackson Estate are threatening the people behind the Michael Jackson Tribute concert, claiming the promoters have sullied Michael's name and are possibly even ripping off the Estate.

Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the Estate, fired off a letter to promoters of the concert -- set for October 8 in Wales -- expressing displeasure that one of the bands that will be performing is KISS, whose guitarist, Gene Simmons, publicly accused MJ of being a hard-core child molester. Weitzman wrote in his letter, "It was extraordinarily embarrassing when no sooner than you announced this 'news' that he would participate in your concert that TMZ posted an item noting that Mr. Simmons called Michael Jackson -- the man you are purportedly honoring -- a child molester..."

Weitzman also questions where all the proceeds for the concert will be going. We're told Joe Jackson and Leonard Rowe are behind the concert, and they've always been quick to cash in on MJ's name.

And Weitzman suggests promoters may be running afoul of the law by using "intellectual property that is controlled by the Estate" -- which includes MJ images and his songs.

Okay ich hab jetzt echt keine Zeit für alle 30 Seiten durchzulesen und somit werd ich dann einfach mal so meine Meinung posten (hoffentlich ist das okay)
Ich hab ne richtige Hass-/Liebbeziehung mit der Familie. Einerseits ist ein Tribute was schönes aber andererseits wird sein Name missbraucht um wieder einmal Kohle zu schäffeln. Und soweit ich weiss ist ein guter Teil der Familie selbst mit dieser Aktion nicht einverstanden.
Ich versteh auch Katherine nicht. Warum?! Ehrlich warum?! Ich bin der festen Überzeugung, dass sie jedes ihrer Kinder liebt, daran ist nix zu rütteln, aber das sowas organisiert werden muss (gerade während den Verhandlungen) kann ich beim bestem Willen einfach nicht nachvollziehen... Mal so allgemein: bei jeder Aktion werden die Kinder immer wieder mitgenommen. Ich glaub Paris gehts einfach nur darum ihrem Vater zu folgen und ihm auch noch nach dem Tod eine gute Tochter zu sein. Und sie will meines Erachtens auch nur dass ihr Vater einen guten Ruf hat (der komischerweise bzw. ironischerweise andauernd durch die eigene Familie immer wieder zerstört wirde). Prince scheint nicht wirklich dagegen oder dafür zu sein, der ist einfach nur dabei :P
Aber das allerletzte finde ich, dass Blanket noch in die ganze Sache mit reingezogen wird. Was macht bitte nen 7jähriger (oder ist er schon 8? naja egal) auf solchen Events? Mich kann diese Erziehung à la Hollywood mal kreuzweise, er scheint schrecklich schüchtern zu sein und man hat immer wieder dieses Gefühl dass er eig. nicht dabei sein möchte.

Auch wenn man bedenkt in welche Zeit das Tribut fällt. Es könnte nicht geschmackloser sein. Da muss man doch etwas Verstand zeigen und Michael etwas Respekt entgegenbringen und wenn nicht Michael, dann wenigstens seinen Kinder... Ich bin ehrlich gesagt enttäuscht von Katherine

na den letzten Satz hätte der sich sparen können. Vom Gefühl her gefällt mir das ganze immer weniger. Irgendwie falle ich vom Glauben ab, daß da wirklich Musiker, die von Mike beeinflusst worden sind, die ihn gut kannten und ihn mochten, dabei sind.
Eher zieht das Geld und die Aufmerksamkeit, die man mit so einem Event bekommt. Ich hoffe sie verkaufen nur wenige Tickets und das Ganze wird wieder abgeblasen.
Sorry, aber das ist Michael nicht würdig. Irgendwie stelle ich mir ein Tribut anders vor. Eine Zeitreise durch Mikes musikalische Karriere mit Künstlern, die ihn verehren und wo chronologisch seine Songs aufgeführt werden mit den Coreografien und einigen Worten zu Mike. Wo sind denn die ehamligen Tourneetänzer von ihm, ehemalige Mitglieder seiner Crew, Künstler wie Beyonce, Berry Gibb, Whitney Houston, Justin T. und und und.
ne ne, also ich würde mir das nicht mal für umsonst antun. Das tut mir sehr weh und leid für Michael, aber ich kann da nicht hingehen, weil ich es nicht gerecht für ihn finde.
Die Thriller live Show fand ich würdig und toll, nur mal so als Beispiel oder eben das Event von Spike Lee oder Honors. Aber meine Meinung interessiert ja niemanden.;-)
