Since their brother Michael passed away in June 2009, there has been persistent talk of a full-scale Jacksons tour, with the surviving Jackson brothers on board performing their collective hits and the hits of brother Jermaine.

Today the iconic sibling group -- Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito Jackson -- announced a full-scale national tour, with a Houston date July 14 at Bayou Music Center, formerly Verizon Wireless Theater.

Armed with their bedrock Jackson 5 hits, Jacksons work, and Jermaine Jackson's hit solo cuts, the group's "Unity Tour" marks their first tour in nearly three decades. That last tour in support of 1984's Victory album was a highly successful outing, with the group playing in front of more than 2.5 million screaming fans.

The Victory tour and the Jacksons stopped at the Astrodome for two days on November 9 and 10, 1984. The group's entire Dallas set from that tour is here on YouTube.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 6, at the usual outlets: livenation.com, "most" Houston-area Randall's stores, 1-866-4HOUTIX (446-8849) and the Bayou Music Center Box Office.

Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon und Tito Jackson haben gestern bekannt gegeben, dass sie diesen Sommer in den USA mit der "Unity Tour" auf Tournee gehen werden und dabei Songs von den J5s, The Jacksons und Jermaine Jacksons Solohits performen werden. Tickets stehen ab dem 6. April bei livenation.com und Ticketmaster.com zum Verkauf (indikative Preiskategorien: USD 150.00, 65.00 und 45.00). Bisher ist bekannt, dass die Brüder am 3. Juli in Washington D.C. und am 14. Juli in Houston/TX auftreten werden. Weitere Tour Stops werden wohl am 6. April bei den erwähnten Ticketagenturen ersichtlich sein.

The most legendary family in music history, The Jacksons, will be back on tour together for the first time in nearly three decades with the hotly-anticipated Unity 2012 dates.

Beginning June 18, 2012 and scheduled through July 29, 2012, this extraordinary reunion tour marks the first time siblings Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito Jackson have toured together since their groundbreaking Victory Tour in 1984.

The Jacksons first achieved international superstardom with their late brother Michael. They were the first group to have their first four singles hit #1 on the Billboard Charts. The Jacksons revolutionized music and pop culture. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. The Unity Tour 2012 will be yet another milestone for the Jacksons, bringing the most famous family in music back together for a historic series of shows.

hm, ich hab nur die Textzeile übersetzt.
Wieso ist sie so nicht ganz stimmig?

Wenn La Toya jetzt schreibt, dass man Ihre Worte nicht aus dem Kontext reißen soll, es war so nicht gemeint, bezieht sich das vielleicht darauf, dass man sie falsch verstanden hat?

Wenn sie weiterhin betont, dass jeder weiß, dass Michael der größte Entertainer aller Zeiten ist und nie ein anderer sein wird wie er, er war ein wahres Geschenk Gottes, dann würde die Übersetzung ihres Satzes, you don´t even miss Michael, für mich ziemlichen Sinn machen.
Aber es ist meine Interpretation. Nicht mehr.
Was La Toya sich denkt oder nicht denkt, das weiß ich nicht. Aber ich gehe weiterhin entspannt dran. Sie ist vielleicht nicht der hellste Stern auf Erden aber ich persönlich sehe es nach wie vor so, dass ich die Wahl habe, Dinge zu interpretieren.
