sein und werden am 2. Dezember in einer Julien`s Auktion an den höchsten Bieter verkauft. Die Ausstellung startet am 18. Mai in einem Museum in Santiago, Chile.
Ein Prozentsatz des Erlöses geht an eine Hundehilfsstelle und ein Hospitz in Las Vegas.

Michael Jackson clothing and costumes will be exhibited globally before hitting auction block
The exhibit opens May 18 at the Museo de la Moda in Santiago, Chile. It features items such as Jackson's Captain EO shirt, the black spandex outfit from his "Scream" video and the breakaway suit he wore during his BAD tour in the late 1980s.The items will be sold by Julien's Auction on December 2, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Guide Dogs of America and Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas.

Los Angeles (dapd). Glitzerhandschuhe, bestickte Jacken und T-Shirts von Michael Jackson gehen auf Welttournee. Das Auktionshaus Julien's erklärte am Montag, die Outfits, die der verstorbene Popsänger auf der Bühne und in Musikvideos trug, sollten in Südamerika, Europa und Asien gezeigt werden.
Die Ausstellung wird am 18. Mai im Modemuseum der chilenischen Hauptstadt Santiago eröffnet. Zu sehen sind dann unter anderem das T-Shirt, das Jackson als Captain EO trug, das komplett schwarze Outfit aus "Scream" und ein Anzug, den Jackson während der "Bad"-Tournee Ende der 80er-Jahre trug. Versteigert werden die Stücke am 2. Dezember in den USA.

hier werden die Daten der Welttour bekannt gegeben. der erste ist in Irland. wenn im dezember schon Schluß ist, ist ja nicht mehr viel zeit durch Europa zu ziehen. Ich tippe mal auf Paris und London, vielleicht noch ne Osteuropametropole. Sehr schade finde ich, daß sie dann versteigert werden. So etwas gehört in deine Dauerausstellung oder MJ Museum, aber nicht in private Hände von irgendwelchen reichen Leuten, die das einfach nur aus Prestigegründden besitzen wollen. All das hat ihn als Künstler, als King of Pop ausgemacht.Diese Sachen sind von unschätzbarem Wert. History...

Es ist wirklich mehr als traurig und bedauerlich, dass Michael's Leben und Karriere zur Bereicherung Einzelner dermaßen ausgeschlachtet und ausverkauft wird, bis nichts mehr übrig ist !!!

Ich finde das verachtenwert und widerlich !

Dabei hätte sich auch Michael ein Museum zu seinem Ehren und Andenken gewünscht.

Ehrlich gesagt ist mir nicht ganz klar warum Bush soviel Bühnenkleidung von Michael besitzt.
Das ein oder andere signierte Geschenk von Michael sehe ich ja ein, aber warum er soviel Kleidung besitzen soll ist mir schleierhaft. Er war der Designer/Schneider, aber dafür wurde er ja doch auch entlohnt.
Ich vermute fast und Bush hat es selbst in einem LA-TimesArtikel 2005 gesagt, dass Michael immer bis 3 Stücke anfertigen ließ, dass es sich um eine Mehrausfertigung handelt und Bush hat im Prinzip ohnehin alle Möglichkeiten (Maße, Wissen) um jedes Teil zu nochmals zu fertigen.

Da Michael die von Bush und Tompkins für ihn gefertigten Kostüme und Kleidungsstücke logischerweise bezahlt hat/bezahlen mußte, und die beiden für ihre Arbeit honorierte, müßten diese Sachen doch eigentlich SEIN Eigentum sein und nun unter der Verfügung des Estates stehen.

Er hatte sie ihnen gewissermaßen abgekauft !

Zudem sind sie ein Teil von Michaels Images und Nachlasses, das sein Estate zu bewahren, überwachen und zu schützen hat.
Ich kann daher nicht verstehen, dass die Rechtslage hier so klar und eindeutig sein soll, dass das Estate nichts dagegen unternehmen kann oder will und sie dem Verkauf zustimmen oder tatenlos zusehen !

Das glaube ich schon, denn er brauchte ja sicher 1-2 Wechselstücke, für den Fall, dass eines verschmutzt oder defekt ist.

On July 3rd 2012 Michael Jackson Fans are invited to a special event.

The Official Opening of The Icons and Idols: The Collection of Tompkins and Bush Exhibition.

Ireland is the only country in Europe to see this exhibition.

Michael Jackson's Costume Designer Michael Bush will be in attendance on the day.

The Opening will begin at 12.00pm on 3rd July 2012. Fans can get a look at the costumes before the doors open to the public!!!!

Also Michael Bush will give a Seminar on the costumes that he designed for Michael Jackson over the years. He was also a close friend of Michael Jackson and went on many tours with him. Including Dangerous and History and was also working on costumes for This Is It.

The Seminar will take the form of a Question and Answer session for fans who may have any questions to ask Michael Bush.

The Seminar is between 3pm and 4.30pm

Ganz zum Schluss erzählt Bush die Andekdote, das Michael ihm sagte, das er zu den Oskars mit Madanno geht und er meint, dass sie herausfinden müssen was sie trägt. Sie fanden heraus, dass sie weiß und etwas mit Perlen trägt. Michael: "Wir können sie schlagen."

schade, das sie nur nach Irland kommt. ausgerechnet. London oder Paris hätte ich schon eher gedacht.Liegt auch viel zentraler und ist besser erreichbar. wer weiß, vielleicht haben sie sich bewusst für die grüne unscheinbare Insel entschieden. Ich hätte sie sehr gern gesehen.

Wardrobe items of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson and ephemera from the collection of designers Dennis Tomkins and Michael Bush will go under the hammer at Julien's Auctions.

The popular auction house announced that these pieces have not been seen since Jackson wore them on stage and in his videos. They will be offered for sale for the first time on 2 December, 2012 at the Julien's Auctions Beverly Hills Gallery as part of the annual Icons & Idols auction.

The exhibit and auction include the designs created by Michael Jackson's long time costume designers Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush, which are also featured in the highly anticipated illustrated book by Michael Bush, Dressing Michael Jackson: Behind the Seams of a Fashion Icon. This book will be published by Insight Editions and will be available from 16 October, 2012.

The collection of Jackson clothing and wardrobe offered for sale, and seen in this book, showcases Michael Jackson's love of fashion and huge impact on popular culture. Many of the items featured in this book will be included in the auction with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas and Guide Dogs of America in Los Angeles.

A major sale highlight includes a 30th Anniversary of Madison Square Garden show signed prototype helmet which was wired to illuminate a row of battery powered lights below the visor. The helmet is signed in black marker to designer Michael Bush and states "To Bush Love Michael Jackson."

Another highlight is Jackson's Scream video costume which includes a pair of black spandex pants with matching long sleeve shirt and mesh tuck strap. Each costume piece is marked on the interior in gold marker "2/2" or "2/2 M.J.J," indicating that two costumes were created for Jackson's famous video shoot.

The auction house announced that Michael Jackson's Captain EO white spandex shirt featuring ribbed neck, zip closure and a rainbow motif is also included as well as the King of Pop's Awards Ceremony jacket which is a black wool jacket embellished with red armband, gold tone metal floral buttons, metallic embroidered crown patch at chest and buckled leather straps at right shoulder.

Jackson reportedly wore this jacket when he attended the 3rd annual Soul Train Awards in 1989 where he was honoured with the Sammy Davis, Jr Heritage Award, the Heritage Award for Career Achievement and awards for his single and video for Man in the Mirror.
